Jewish protests against the appointment by the West German Government of Peter Pfeiffer, a former Nazi diplomat, as its observer at the United Nations have resulted in the withdrawal of the appointment, it was learned here today.
U.N. Secretary Dag Hammarskjold was today informed by Dr. Hans Riesser, German Consul in New York, that the Adenauer Government has re-assigned Herr Pfeiffer to another position.
