The general strike called by the Arab Executive to protest the arrest of disorderly agitators at the recent celebration of the Arab boycott or the Palestine elections passed without any serious disturbance. The response to the strike call was not as large as had been anticipated, it is reported.

The Arab Executive heeding the instructions of the police held no street demonstrations, confining their protest merely to the issue of a manifesto demanding a “national government” for Palestine, the abolition or the British Mandate and a Federation of Arab states.
