An Arab was shot dead yesterday when he tried to break through a cordon of British troops which had surrounded the Arab village of Iqzim in a search for the slayers of Squadron Leader R.E. Aldershon, killed Friday in an Arab ambuscade. Police dogs had trailed the slayers to the village. The troops rounded up 800 sheep belonging to the village and drove them off to Haifa in reprisal for the murder.
