The first week of the trial of the three Revisionist Zionists, Aba Achimeier, Abraham Stavsky and Zvi Rosenblatt, accused of the murder of Dr. Chaim Arlosoroff, ended today.
The court, consisting of four judges, decided to proceed to the Tel Aviv Seashore, where the murder took place, and ask Mrs. Sima Arlosoroff, widow of the murdered man, to give additional testimony at the scene of the crime. The judges will also visit the Jaffa jail in order to determine whether it could have been physically possible for Stavsky and Rosenblatt to communicate with the Arab convict Abdul Medjid in an attempt to induce him to shoulder the blame for the murder, as he declares they did.
The Arab, held for the murder of another ## named Lufti, created a sensation during the hearing before Magistrate Ralph Bodilly when he swore that the two Revisionists had visited him in jail and had offered him pound 1.000 for assuming the blame for the murder, assuring him that his sentence would be light and that in any event he was already in danger on one murder charge. Stavsky and Rosenblatt later denied having made the proposal to him.
Police Inspector Baruch Goffer, who testified earlier in the day declared that when he had arrived at the scene of the murder he had at once identified the footsteps of Dr. Arlosoroff and his wife, but found no other. Other footsteps leading away from the spot where the Zionist Leader was killed began further on and led toward the hills.
