The Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned today that the families of the four Jewish Social Democratic leaders, who were sent yesterday to the Woellsdorf concentration camp after haveing been kept in Vienna jails since the crushing of the Social Democrats, have appealed to Dr. Desider Friedmann, president of the Vienna Jewish community, to intervene with the government to make the lot of the prisoners easier.

The Jewish Socialists are Professor Karl Friedjung, Deputy Heinrich Allina, Councillor Friedrich Schleicher and Dr. Emil Maurer. Not only are they confined to the concentration camp for an indefinite period, but the families of the men are compelled to pay the Dollfuss government more than a dollar a day for their maintenance.

All of them occupied prominent positions in the Vienna Socialist city administration, but took no part in the actual fighting, since they were arrested as soon as the civil war began.
