A posthumous award of the Distinguished Service Medal to the late Julius Kahn, for many years chairman of the House Committee on Military is sought in a joint resolution proposed by Representative W. Frank James of Michigan, now head of that committee. Mr. Kahn’s seat as a member from the fourth California district is now held by his widow, Mrs. Florence Prag Kahn, who is a member of the Military Affairs Committee.
