“Buying from Jews is no less a crime against the Nation than is selling ammunition to the enemy in times of war,” is the boycott slogan spread by the Austrian Nazis today.

The boycott agitation is making decided inroads on Jewish business. The Nazis even demand that Austrian firms refuse to receive Jewish travelling salesmen, even if they represent non-Jewish firms.

The Nazi press seeks to persuade the population that “a Jewish invasion of Austria” is imminent. The paper charges that many of the Jews who acquired right of domicile from the Socialist government are now returning to Austria. The influx is largely from Germany. Joining this mass migration movement are German Jews who seek escape from Hitler, the press asserts.

The exclusion of such Jews is demanded by the Nazi organs. They warn the populace that unless this “mass invasion of Jews” is halted, the Jews will rob them of their livelihood.
