Assemblyman Ross P. Buchauan. Klan member and author of the defeated Bible bill in the Ohio legislature. will be a candidate for Governor of the state, it was learned here today.
At the last session of the legislature, Assemblyman Buchanan declared that in case his Bible bill is defeated, he would run for governor of Ohio. The Bible bill, calling for Bible instruction in the public schools of Ohio was approved by the Klan, which took it under their auspices. The outcome of the fight between the sponsors and the opponents of the Bible bill was considered a defeat of the Klan.
