The younger Jewish children in America, comprising the third and fourth generations, are closer to Israel than their immigrant forefathers were, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion declared here today.
Mr. Ben-Gurion spoke at the annual meeting of the Bible Research Society here, Referring to observations he made on his recent trips to the United States and England, he stated that “the love for Israel I found among millions of Jews in the United States and England is one of the wonders of Jewish history.”
An announcement was made at the meeting that the Jewish National Fund has donated to the society a tract of land in this city for the construction of a “House of the Bible.” The land is near the herder of Old Jerusalem, which is under Jordanian Jurisdiction.
