Bernard Henry Levy, regarded as one of the most prominent young writers and philosophers in France, told a press conference here that anti-Semitism is not a new phenomenon in his country but “an integral part of French culture.” He said that while “it is not true there is more anti-Semitism than there was in the past,” it now takes a different form.
