Jacob Blaustein, noted American Jewish leader, today returned from Israel where he had a series of conferences with Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, Foreign Minister Golda Meir and other Cabinet officials in an intensive review of Israel’s political, economic and security situations.
Immediately upon his return, Mr. Blaustein met here with United Nations Secretary General Dag Hammarskjold. In the long conference that took place, the Secretary General and Mr. Blaustein had a thorough discussion of Middle East problems, including that pertaining to the Suez seizure by Egypt of Israeli cargoes.
