The establishment of a B’nai Brith Grand Lodge in Palestine has been decided upon by the Executive of the Independent Order of B’nai Brith here.
Palestine has been, until now, included in the region of Egypt and A##la as far as the B’nai Brith activities were concerned, and constituted a part of one lodge. The new Palestine lodge will be known as Grand Lodge No. 14.
A congress of representatives of all the B’nai Brith lodges in Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Bulgarin and Greece will be held in the month of June in Counstantinople. This congress will be the most representative gathering of Jews ever held in the Near East. The last convention of the B’nai Brith lodges in that part of the world took place in 1914.
