A young mother and her three-year-old daughter were seriously injured and four other people were hurt when a bomb exploded on the main street in the center of Rehovot this morning. According to police, the bomb was placed in a garbage can near the local police station. Dozens of Arabs who were in Rehovot were rounded up for questioning, police said. Some of them were taken to the main Jerusalem police headquarters where they underwent a test to determine if they had handled any explosive devices. Today’s bombing incident was the first in Rehovot.
