Brandeis University’s president, Jehuda Reinharz, will present a collection of Tibetan art objects to the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, at a ceremony in New York on Tuesday. Brandeis awarded the Tibetan holy man an honorary degree in 1998, when the Dalai Lama visited Brandeis and spoke of the similarities between Tibetans and Jews, both of whom are exiled peoples living as minorities in other countries.
