Brazilian Jewish media are mourning the passing of one of their most famous social columnists. Rosa Hollander Gudel, whose pseudonym was Rio’s Rose, died Tuesday at 58 in Rio de Janeiro. Gudel was the columnist of the Sao Paulo-based magazine O Hebreu, which is distributed across Brazil and features local news from Brazil’s 120,000-strong Jewish community.
