Italian propaganda among the Arabs in Palestine is causing concern in parliamentary circles, it became apparent today.
The question of what the government is doing to counteract the propaganda was raised on the floor of the House of Commons today by Captain Peter Drummond McDonald. Captain McDonald asked whether the Government was aware that Italy is broadcasting propaganda in Arabic.
Replying for the Colonial Secretary, Commander A. R. J. Southby declared that the matter has been the subject of discussions with the Italian Ambassador Captain Southby also pointed out that the new Palestine radio service would soon begin operating.
Sir Josiah Wedgwood, pro-Zionist member of Parliament, asked that the Colonial Office obtain a full report of the Italian propaganda in Palestine.
