Capt. Stephen Norman, grandson of Theodor Herzl and a late member of the British commonwealth scientific staff here, who committed suicide on Nov. 26, was buried in Washington today in the Adas Israel cemetery with a Jewish service arranged by the Washington office of the Jewish Agency.
The service was attended by representatives of the Jewish Agency, the American Zionist Emergency Council, the Z.O.A., Hadassah, the Labor Zionist Organization and the Mizrachi. British Embassy officials who attended were G.R. Rankin, Acting British Consul, Dr. Alexander King, chief of the British scientific office here, and several of Norman’s colleagues in the scientific office.
Four weeks ago, Norman received word from his former governess in Vienna that his parents had perished in the Theresienstadt concentration camp in Czechoslovakia.
