Buenos Aires honored the memory of an American rabbi who spent much of his career in Argentina. A square in the northern part of the city honors Rabbi Marshall Meyer, a fighter for human and civil rights who faced off against the Argentine junta and later returned to New York City to revitalize Congregation B’nai Jeshurun there.
