Another shipment of Canadian wheat to Israel was arranged by the Canada-Israel Corporation which is sponsored jointly by the Canadian Jewish Congress and the Zionist Organization of Canada, it was announced here today The shipment consisting of 10,000 tons, left Vancouver on the SS “Ionian Trader” and is now on its way to Haifa, consigned to the Government of Israel.
Earlier, in November a shipment of 9,700 tons of Canadian wheat was sent to Israel on the SS “Endeavour.” An amount of $1,600,000 was involved in these two transactions The shipments arranged by the Canada-Israel Corporation since its inception involve $#,600,000.
