Sir John Chancellor, High Commissioner of Palestine, granted an audience to Rabbi Aaronson and Rabbi Benzion Uziel of Jaffa.
The High Commissioner told the delegation that the building of the Jewish National Home requires three things, idealistic devotion, national unity and a sound economic policy.
The High Commissioner also received the Executive Committee of the National Council of Palestine Jewry. The conversation lasted an hour and questions pertaining to the organization of the Kenesseth Israel, immigration and the Wailing Wall dispute, were discussed. The High Commissioner again stressed that Palestine Jewry must be united. For the increase of immigration, suitable conditions must first be created. The colonies he visited must become self-supporting, he said.
