Chief Rabbi Kook Not to Be at King’s Birthday Celebration

The first indication that the Jewish leaders here intend to abstain from the British celebrations on the occasion of King George’s birthday is seen in a letter to the High Commissioner by Chief Rabbi Kook in which he says that grief over the political developments in Palestine is causing him physical weakness that will disable him from attending the King’s birthday here.
