The 44th Chilean Zionist Congress called on the Soviet Government today to end discriminatory restrictions against Russian Jews, In a resolution adopted at the closing session of the Congress attended by all Zionist groups in Chile, the Soviet Government was called upon to grant freedom of worship to USSR Jews, permit the emigration of Jews wishing to Join their families abroad, and allow the establishment of schools for Yiddish and Hebrew study.
Rodolfo Borzutzky Fridman, a prominent attorney, was elected president of the Federation of Chilean Zionists. Miguel Maldavsky and Isidore Arensburg, were elected vice-presidents, and Adolfo Heller was named Secretary General.
