The American central restitution office at Bad Nauhsim has been closed, it was announced here today. In the future the functions of the Bad Nauheim office will be handled at the Bavarian Indemnification Office in Munich. All applications must be filed by March 31, 1950. In the event that a formal application cannot be filed by a person abroad by that deadline, an informal application will be honored if a formal application is filed subsequently, but no later than September 30, 1950.
The British occupation authorities have announced that the deadline for filing restitution applications has been extended until June 30, 1950. Persons who erroneously filed applications in the American and French zones which must be submitted to the British authorities have until the end of June to make new applications.
