In an interpellation made in the Czechoslovakian parliament yesterday, members of the Czech Clerical party inquired why the history of President Masaryk’s defence of Hilsner in the Jewish ritual murder case of 1899 was incorporated in the official souvenir book issued in honor of President Masaryk’s birthday, and why this book, which lauds President Marsaryk’s efforts to refute the ritual murder accusation, is being distributed among school children. Some of the clerical leaders stated that President Masaryk assumed a mistaken attitude in the Hilsner case.
