Cornerstone for Max Bressler Trade Center Laid in Israel

The cornerstone of the Max Bressler Center of Trade and Industry, henceforth to be known as “Bet Menachem.” was laid here at an impressive ceremony which was attended by President Ben Zvi, Minister of Trade and Industry Peretz Bernstein, Minister of Health Joseph Serlin, leading government officials and Mr. Bressler, a vice-president of the Zionist Organization of America.

“Bet Menachem” is located in the heart of Jerusalem. In addition to serving as a vocational school, it will house the offices of the Jerusalem branch of the Association of Artisans and Small Industrialists, a library and permanent exhibit of Jerusalem handicrafts, President Ben Zvi, in his address, emphasized the economic importance of teaching a trade to the Jerusalem youth, and Dr. Bernstein urged the extension of Israel’s foreign trade.
