Courts Impose Death Sentences on Ukrainian, Pole for Wartime Murders of Jews

The Wroclaw district court today sentenced Sly-aster Krzanowski, a Ukrainian member of the Gestapo charged with participating in the 1941 program against the Jews of Schodnica, near Borislav, to die by hanging. ?e defendant served to the Gestapo from 1941 to 1943 and was active in the pro pro##cist Ukrainian renegade movement.

The court in Radom today imposed a sentence of death on Stanislaw Wiktorowicz a Pole, for the warder of four members of a Jewish family. The pole allowed ?e Jews to remain hidden to his house after they succeeded in escaping from the strowie? slave labor camp, exacting huge sums of money from them all the time they were hidden. Ten days before liberation, Wiktorowicz murdered the family and threw their bodies into a deep well.
