Replying to the opposition against the continued use by Transjordania of Palestine currency, the director of finance explained that the close economic connections of the two countries make the use of Palestine’s currency a distinct advantage. Furthermore Transjordania, he said, receives a share of the governmental profits. The currency itself, he said, was stable and in world market transactions could be used like the English pound.
