The Jewish delegation from Wilmington, Delaware, which called yesterday upon Senator Ball, Republican, and Senator Bayard, Democrat, of Delaware, were promised by both Senators that they would vote against an immigration bill embodying the 1890 census. The Senators also stated that they considered the objections made to the 1890 census fully justified.
The delegation, which consisted of Chairman David Snellenburg, Louis Topkis, Max Keil, Nathan Barsky, Charles K. Brener and Max Bareoski, besides presenting their objections, left with the Senators a memorandum attacking the Johnson Bill.
The delegation were introduced by the Senators from their state to Senator Colt, Chairman of the Senate Immigration Committee, to whom they also made their appeal.
