Dozens of scholars and university students from across the former Soviet Union and abroad gathered in Moscow for a three-day Jewish studies conference. The conference is a hallmark of the post-Communist revival of Jewish studies, which are currently being taught to some 2,500 students in more than 70 universities in the former Soviet Union.
