Returning form Palestine, where he went as the representative of Nathan Straus, the Rev. John Haynes Holmes, pastor of the New York Community Church, arrived in New York last night on the steamer Aquitania. Dr. Holmes was accompanied by Mrs. Holmes.
Dr. Holmes will describe his observations in Palestine in a series of three lectures to be given at the Community Church on April 3, 10 and 17.
Senator Raoul Dandurand, Canada’s representative to the League of Nations, who presented a proposal at the last session of the League’s Council for a change in the procedure of minorities’ petitions, also arrived in New York on the Aquitania.
