Dr. Immanuel Jakobovits, the Chief Rabbi of Great Britain, is scheduled to come here from London on March 1 to aid in a drive for Jewish education. It will be his first visit to the Bay Area. On the following night he is scheduled to address the spring banquet of the Hebrew Academy on the subject of “The Crisis in World Jewry.” During his week’s stay on this side of the Atlantic, Rabbi Jakobovits will visit Dallas on March 3-4, and Montreal on March 5-6. He has just completed raising the equivalent of $30 million to support the Jewish Day School movement a Britain and his local appearances is to assist in raising a proportionate amount for the Hebrew Academy, a spokesman said.
