Dr. Paulina Shiff, first woman in Italy to hold a professorship, died in Milan yesterday.
Madam Shiff occupied the chair of German Literature at the University of Piwia for thirty-six years. She also lectured at the Italian Academy of Literature. Madam Shiff was one of the founders of the International Women’s league. She was one of the first champions of women’s suffrage in Italy.
