“Jewish Education in the United States has successfully met the challenge placed upon it by the Hitlerian destruction of famous Jewish centers of learning in central and eastern Europe,” Dr. Abraham A. Neumann president of Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning, declared here today at Founder’s Day exercises.
Dr. Neuman added that “today, the future of Jewish learning and scholarship rests on two centers, Israel and the United States.” The college awarded six Doctorates in Philosophy and one Masters degree at the exercises.
