German Jewish banks will no longer be allowed to carry the name of Volksbank, people’s bank, it was disclosed today at a meeting of the small Jewish bank representatives here. The meeting eas called for the purpose of adopting a unified control system.
Reports submitted to the conference declared that Breslau, Leipzig and other courts in Germany had refused to register branches of the Ivriah Volksbank, claming that the title was misleading, and prohibitilnlg Jewish banks in Germany from carrying the title in the future.
