Egypt’s president said Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon can bring peace with the Palestinians. If the Palestinians “cannot achieve progress during the term of the current prime minister, it will be very difficult to make any progress in peace. He is capable of pursuing peace, and he is capable of reaching solutions, if he wants to,” Hosni Mubarak told reporters Thursday in Port Said.
