Final-status talks between Israel and the Palestinians are unlikely to begin before May, when they were originally scheduled to end, U.S. Middle East envoy Dennis Ross told JTA. “Neither side is rushing to the table,” Ross said after addressing a forum sponsored by the journal Middle East Quarterly. For now, he told the forum, the Clinton administration is focused on getting the Wye agreement implemented and has made “some suggestions” about how to do so.
