Traffic in Tel Aviv is about ten times as heavy as that in Berlin, according to figures compiled by the Drivers Organization of Tel Aviv and made public today.
In Berlin the number of motor vehicles and horse drawn conveyances during a given period was equal to one half of one per cent of the fixed population, while in Tel Aviv there is one vehicle to every twenty persons.
In 1934 there were 1,662 autos and 2,013 horse drawn conveyances in Tel Aviv. In addition, there were 6,070 omnibuses, motorcycles and vans.
