Allan W. Dulles, international lawyer and former official of the State Department, has resigned from the executive committee of H.E.L.P.–Holyland Emergency Liaison Program–according to an announcement yesterday. His resignation follows that of Rep. Christian A. Harter of Massachusetts.
In resigning from the organization, which includes many anti-Zionist and pro-Arab spokesman, Mr. Dulles expressed doubt that he had ever consented to permit his name to be used in connection with the group although, he added, “I may have agreed to serve as a member of the committee in view of my deep interest in this part of the world and the vital importance of bringing about conditions of peace and stability there. I find, however, no correspondence on the subject in my files…I would appreciate it if you would kindly consider this as the tender of my resignation.”
