Four young Jewish displaced persons went on trial today before the British Control Commission charged with attempting to blow up a British train near Hanover in June.
The prosecution said the DP’s, three of whom are from Poland, are connected with the Irgun Zvai Leumi or the Haganah. All of the defendants denied they were implicated in the unsuccessful explosion. Richard Orlinsky, one of the Jews, admitted that at one time he was a member of an organization transporting visaless Jews to Palestine.
