Four Jews Elected to Roumanian Senate; Six to Parliament

Four Jewish senators were elected on the government list in the Senate elections which took place on Friday. The government had a complete victory, the opposition not having gained any seats.

Rabbi Zirelsohn of Kishineff, Mr. Gutnic of Chotin and Mr. Strejtman of Bukowina were elected to the Senate. Mr. Elijah Mendelsohn was elected to the Senate by the Roumanian Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Mendelsohn is a citizen of Jassy and is affiliated with the Zionist Organization.

Among the deputies elected to parliament on the government lists are six Jews. They are Messrs. Wurmbrand, Gutnic, Jaroslavitsch, Gluendrich, Aron and Dr. Ebner.
