The government of Franconia, which is ruled by the notorious anti-Semite Julius Streicher, today cancelled the citizenship of all Jews in Franconia who were naturalized between 1922 and 1929.
A lecture on racial problems in Germany was delivered by Herr Streicher last night to the political police in Munich, the capital of Bavaria. In his lecture, Herr Streicher declared that the worst enemy of Germany is the Jew and that the political police should see to it that no “Aryan” girls keep company with Jews.
For stating to a customer that a Nazi official had patronized his store despite the fact that he is a Jew, Heiman Simonstein of Schneidemuel, was sentenced today to one month’s imprisonment.
SUED BY NAZI
Mr. Simonstein was sued by the Nazi official for “spoiling his reputation.” The court ruled that “any German, not only a Nazi official, can bring court action for slander against a Jew who spreads a rumor that he patronizes Jewish enterprises.”
The Municipal Council of Auerbach today decided to give municipal contracts only to such merchants as will swear under oath that they will not trade with “non-Aryans.”
The German Maccabi and the Sports League of the Union of Jewish Front Soldiers in Germany have arranged to hold a joint tournament of light athletics in Berlin early in July. This will be the first official tournament in which the two Jewish sports organizations will join, with their best athletes from all parts of Germany taking part.
