Professor G. Embden, prominent physiologist, died here today at the age of 59. He had been ill ever since he was the victim of a Nazi attack which took place a few weeks ago.
While working in his laboratory in the Institute of Physiology of Frankfurt University, Professor Embden was attacked by two Nazis who dragged him out of the buildings and forced him to parade through the city streets in the midst of a Nazi gang.
The fact that the physiological institute was founded by a Jew did not save the noted German-Jewish scientist from attack.
