Chancellor Adolf Hitler’s cabinet enacted a law tonight fixing the death penalty for any German subject who “wickedly” and with intent to commit “economic sabotage” fraudulently has property transferred to a foreign country, the Havas News Agency reported.
Bent on executing the four-year plan over which Hitler recently made Air Minister Hermann Wilhelm Goering dictator, officials announced two more drastic moves.
Goering himself warned that any German who raised the prices of basic commodities above those in effect last Oct. 18 — the date of his economic appointment — would be heavily fined or imprisoned.
