the Ministry of Interior today upheld the deportation three Jewish students of Nancy University for demonstrating against a visiting Polish professor, Dr. Loth, notorious as an anti-Semite.
The deportation order was issued on June 16th but it was hoped that it would be cancelled when Premier Eduard Herriot assumed office.
Two of the deported students have gone to Belgium to continue their medical studies, while the third, Scharf, leader of the demonstration against Professor Loth, is now in Paris, seeking facilities to migrate to Palestine.
It is believed that the expulsion order was issued at the instance of the Polish Embassy.
