A fund to aid Oscar Slater, who was released from ##### after serving eighteen years on the charge of having murdered an aged Glasgow woman is being sought here.
Meetings are being organized throughout the country with a view to securing public support to the demand for an inquiry of the ease to establish Slater’s innocence. The meetings are being organized under the direction of Marcus Shloimowitz member of the Aid Committee of the Jewish Board of Guandians in Manchester. The appeal for support was made from the pulpits of synagogues on Saturday.
