Erich Lother Sporin, a West German industrial artist, was fined $119 and given a three-month suspended jail term yesterday on charges that he slandered the Jewish people.
The 32-year old artist was found guilty of having called Jews “subhuman” and of saying that “there are still too many” Jews in Germany. He made the remarks during the recent epidemic of anti-Semitic activities in West Germany.
