Antisemitism and the cult of the German race are to be the two central features of German school education according to a specimen school curriculum drawn up by the Federation of German National Teachers for use by its members in the schools in which they are employed.
The day is to begin with the recitation of the Jewish hymn of hate, which was once made compulsory in all the schools of the State of Thuringia by order of the Hitlerist Minister of the Interior. and of Education, Dr. Frick, but had to be withdrawn under pressure by the Central Federal Government. The teaching of the Germanic race theory propounded by Professor Guenther, who has been appointed by Dr. Frick to the Chair of “Raceology” at the famous University of Jena, in Thuringia, is held up as the most important subject in the curriculum, to which most attention must be paid.
The history lesson is to be arranged as an exposition of Germanism, demonstrating that the German people as the lineal successors to the ancient Teutons are the greatest and most important people in the world, to whom belongs of right the foremost place in the sun.
The Scripture lesson is to include no references to the Old Testament, because it is the Jewish Bible, and the children are to be taught that Christianity is the religion of the German people closely identified with Germanism, and that Christ was a German and God is German.
