Aliya is the “one answer” that the Arabs understand and it is an answer to the anti-Zionist resolution adopted recently by the United Nations, former Premier Golda Meir said last night in her address before 1500 delegates attending the 23rd national convention of the Labor Zionist Alliance at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel. Mrs. Meir called for one million Jews to come to Israel this year and one million the following year.
Noting that Syria is receiving tremendous amounts of arms, Mrs. Meir said that Israel must be prepared to face any danger. But, she said, Syria will “never be able to drive us into the sea.” Pointing out that the Labor Zionist Movement has attracted young people she declared, “We want a mass movement of young people.”
