The seventeenth anniversary of the founding of Hadassah, the women’s Zionist organization, was celebrated yesterday afternoon at the Central Synagogue Community House. New York, under the auspices of the New York branch of Hadassah. Six hundred guests attended. The occasion also marked the celebration of Purim, the Fease of Esther, for whom the women’s Zionist organization is named.
Dr. Nahum Sokolow, chariman of the Zionist Executive, and Mrs. Rebekah Kohut, were the speakers. Mrs. Charles Zunser, acting president of the New York chapter, presided.
