The Haifa Institute of Technology remained closed for the fourth day today in the wake of the students’ refusal to pay increased tuition fees.

Fees were raised by the administration when it found itself unable to cover the school’s budget in the absence of adequate private contributions and government subsidies. The crisis at the Technion has been referred to the Knesset education committee for discussion.
